If you are in Santiago, or planning to go there, I can definitely recommend a visit to the Cerro San Cristobal. The mountain with the Santa Maria statue is a must see. When you are there you can either do a hike to the top or take a cable car. When you have reached the top, and standing next to the Santa Maria statue, you have the most amazing view over the entire city. I went there during the afternoon and stayed until it was dark, so the light of the city would make the sky glow. Amazing!!
